Thanks to the computer information technology, guided implantology represents a new success in the dental field research, since it is possible to provide rehabilitation solutions even to patients with important bone atrophies which cannot be treated with classical implantoprosthetic. Moreover this guarantees a greater predictability of treatments, less invasiveness and bleeding reduction and almost entirely absent post- operative symptoms. The surgical procedure is computer designed by using a 3D software after performing a Denta CT scan or a cone bean of the maxillary bones, using a radiological mask that will be transformed into a surgical one and will allow the implant to be inserted in an extremely precise and guided way. Computer performed implantology is recommended to patients normally considered at risk of failure. Due to the sub-millimeter precision and the great safety of surgery it can be helpful to anyone, especially to those who will be then subjected to the immediate temporary appliance within 12 hours from the surgery.
